De Spaanse zangeres treedt op in De Centrale in Gent, met gitaar door Miguel Ángel Cortés en percussie door Agustin Diassera.

Rocío Márquez was born in Huelva, Andalusia in 1985. Her talent is confirmed in 2008 on the Festival del Cante de Las Minas where she achieves no less than five prizes, among which the prestigious Lámpara Minera. At the age of 25 she gives her first concert on the festival Les Suds in Arles. It means the start of an international career that continues to grow.

Besides a contemporary innovator, Rocío is also a particularly engaged singer. She is part of a growing group of Spanish artists who oppose to the austerity policy, the deletion of cultural subsidies,the increase of the vat on shows in Spain.
Recently, her highly acclaimed new album ‘El Niño’ appeared. In De Centrale she performs in a small trio cast with Miguel Angel Cortés on guitar and Agustin Diassera on percussion.
